About this work:
This was the twenty-first work I created in 2014, hence the title. I built up layers of oil paint using a palette knife to create a subtle world of colors to explore. The work changes dramatically based on the lighting in the room. Hang it on the wall with only overhead lighting, it’ll look mostly brown, but put a lamp near it and BAM! it comes to life full of color!
