About this work:
I created Bluegrass in 2015 shortly before I began creating the body of work that would form my //Spectrum series. At the time, I was using a naming convention loosely based on the filenames that would be automatically generated by my camera, only rather than “IMG_2850”, I titled my works first by the year and then by the order in which I finished those works that year. This was the fourteenth piece I completed in 2015, hence the title “2015_14.” Finding years later that it was a nightmare trying to recall which piece was, for instance, 2015_14 and which was 2015_15, I changed the title of this work to the more human-friendly title Bluegrass in 2019. I feel that this title expresses the same thing that I expressed through the image.
